This book chronicles the adventures of Doug Walker and his dog HIP-"D"(head injury prevention dog) as they follow John Elway in his final football season. Doug and HIP will be traveling to each game aboard their 1999 Heritage Softail Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Their travels will have them crisscrossing the United States from Seattle to Miami, New York to San Diego.

Conceptually the book focuses more on getting to the game as opposed to the game itself. Traveling by Harley the duo will record their thoughts and experiences as they meet America first hand. Conversations they have with people along their route will be interspersed throughout the book as well as interviews with people behind the scenes at each game from the groundskeeper to the beer man.

Not often does one have the opportunity to watch a Superstar make his final curtain call 16 times over. John Elways' indelible mark on the game of football and his compassion for others provides the perfect backdrop for this book of self-discovery.

HIP-"D" will be working on his own children's book while on the ride. Using John as a positive role model HIP will talk about character, specifically being the best you can be. HIP will share lessons he learns from watching John play and from his conversations with John over the course of the season. Teamwork, dedication, goal setting, effort and compassion are a few of the topics to be discussed.

Proceeds from both books will benefit the Elway Foundation and the Head First Foundation.
